Imprinted Concrete Sealing
When it is first laid Pattern Imprinted Concrete can look great and is generally regarded as a very low-maintenance surface.
It is sealed when first laid and very hard wearing and is often preferred to block paving as the choice for driveways and patios. However, it does require some maintenance as after a few years the resin seal will start to wear. In damper, shaded areas moss and algae can spead quickly over the surface and make it look quite unsightly.
To keep the concrete looking good it is important to re-seal the surface every 3-4 years. This will help prevent colour loss and help prevent staining and the spread of moss and algae. If it is not re-sealed every few years, the surface colour of the concrete can fade and start to wear away.
Kent Pro Wash have special rotary headed pressure washing equipment that will quickly remove any moss, algae and staining on the concrete. We only use high pressured water but may need to pre-treat the concrete with a anti-fungicide to kill off any algae spores that may be present. In most cases the average domestic driveway of around 60 square metres can be thoroughly cleaned in less than a day.

Once the concrete has been given sufficient time to dry off, we then seal the concrete with a quality imprinted concrete sealer from Smartseal. Depending on the condition of the concrete we will apply multiple coats of concrete sealer until the desired finish is acheived. We may also add colour tints and anti-slip agent to the sealer if necessary.
